Steps to recruit domestic workers

To apply for a recruitment visa, please follow the following steps:

The ID number will be verified through (Absher) services of the Ministry of Interior, so you must ensure that you register with Absher services in advance. For more details, you can visit Absher services on the Ministry of Interior website:

  • Fill in the basic information registration form
    • National identity number for citizens or residence for residents
    • FirstName
    • family name
    • Date of Birth (Hijri)
    • Mobile number

After registering the basic information, you will receive a text message on your mobile phone containing a supportive activation code. Enter the “Activation Code” to fill out the form to register an account in Musaned.

  • Fill out the account registration form
    • Password: Choose a password that contains letters, numbers, and symbols
    • Confirm Password: Reset the chosen password
    • Mobile Number: The mobile number registered in Absher
    • Email: to activate a support account

  • Press the Control Panel button
  • Click on Visas from the menu on the right of the page
  • Click on the “Domestic Worker Visa Services” button
  • Click on the “Request to issue a visa” button
  • Ensure readability
    • Was the visa fee paid? (2000) riyals
    • Are you registered with the General Organization for Social Insurance?
    • Employment status: according to proof of financial ability
    • Type of proof of financial ability: identification of salary from the private or government sector, or bank statement according to the number of visas allowed

  • Communicate with the accounting department to finalize the contracting request through the office's electronic services in the Musaned portal and issue the recruitment invoice

No, recruitment fees or any fees related to the contracting request are done through the (Musaned) platform only.

The recruitment office shall be responsible for the worker who mediated his recruitment for a period of (90 days); starting from the date of his arrival to the Kingdom; In the following cases:

  • The worker's abstention from carrying out his duties, in whole or in part, in accordance with the employment contract concluded with him for a reason not related to the first party.
  • Absence from work.
  • Lack of specifications that must be met by the worker.
  • Infection of the worker with a disease that hinders him from performing his work.
  • It is proved that the reports of the medical and security examinations conducted for the worker are incorrect.

The limits of the first party’s responsibility for the worker are to bear the costs of returning the worker to his country or transferring the worker’s services to another sponsor and returning the recruitment cost to the client, deducting from it the equivalent of the period the worker spent at work according to the following equation:

(Total recruitment cost ÷ Duration of the worker’s work contract in months ) × the remaining period of the worker's work contract in months.

Yes, it is possible to insure employment contracts after the guarantee period (90 days) through insurance companies that provide the domestic labor contracts insurance system. Example: Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (ACIG)
